GROUNDING EXERCISES ARE A GROUP OF MINDFULNESS PRACTICES THAT ARE COMMONLY DESCRIBED AS ROOTED IN "COMING BACK TO OUR SENSES."
THESE EXERCISES ARE USEFUL IN DAMPENING THE STRESS RESPONSE IN THE SHORT TERM. THESE ARE ESPECIALLY USEFUL FOR PERIODS OF EXTREME STRESS OR DURING A PARTICULARLY STRESSFUL EXPERIENCE.
